By hosting on Yumates, you agree to follow these guidelines.
1. Accurate Listings
- Provide honest and complete information about your property
- Upload real, recent photos that reflect the actual condition
Clearly mention:
- Amenities
- House rules
- Guest limits
- Any restrictions or known issues
- Keep pricing, availability, and calendar up to date
Misleading listings may be suspended or removed.
2. Communication Standards
- Respond to guest messages promptly (within 24 hours)
Share clear:
- Check-in / check-out instructions
- Wi-Fi details
- House rules
- Be reachable during the guest’s stay or share an emergency contact
Good communication builds trust and better reviews.
3. Check-in & Guest Experience
- Ensure smooth and hassle-free check-in
- Welcome guests respectfully
- Avoid unnecessary interference during the stay
- Respect guest privacy at all times
4. Cleanliness & Maintenance
Provide a clean and hygienic space before every check-in
Ensure:
- Clean linens & towels
- Functional bathrooms & kitchen
- Proper waste disposal
- Fix maintenance issues promptly
Clean homes = better reviews & repeat bookings.
5. Safety Responsibilities
Hosts should:
- Maintain a safe living environment
Provide basic safety measures such as:
- Fire extinguisher
- Emergency exits
- First-aid kit
- Inform guests about any potential risks (stairs, balconies, pets, etc.)
6. House Rules & Guest Limits
- Clearly define house rules in your listing
Mention:
- Maximum guest count
- Smoking / alcohol / pets policy
- Quiet hours
- Do not allow activities beyond what is permitted
7. Pricing & Payments
- Set fair and transparent pricing
- Do not request or accept off-platform payments
- All bookings and payments must go through Yumates
8. Cancellations
- Avoid host-initiated cancellations except in genuine emergencies
- Repeated cancellations may lead to penalties or delisting
- Follow your listed cancellation policy consistently
9. Legal & Tax Compliance
You are responsible for:
- Following local laws and regulations
- Paying applicable taxes
- Obtaining any required permits or licenses

10. Reviews & Ratings
- Encourage honest guest reviews
- Do not pressure or manipulate reviews
- Respond professionally to feedback
Reviews help build your hosting reputation.
11. Respect & Non-Discrimination
- Treat all guests with respect and professionalism
- Discrimination based on race, religion, gender, nationality, or any personal characteristic is strictly prohibited
12. Violations & Enforcement
Yumates may take action if hosts:
- Violate guidelines
- Provide misleading listings
- Receive repeated guest complaints
- Engage in illegal or unsafe practices
